EV Pack Hub is an open catalogue and community resource. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse the site.
Summary
- No user accounts: We do not require sign-ups, passwords, or personal profiles.
- Browser preferences: Display settings (such as selected currency and country) are saved locally on your own device.
- Server security: Standard technical connection logs are temporarily recorded for site stability and security.
Information Handled
1. Server Access Logs
Standard web server logs temporarily record basic technical details (including IP address, requested URL, and browser user-agent) strictly for security, DDoS defense, and technical reliability. These logs are automatically purged.
2. Browser Preferences (Local Storage)
To remember your display choices (currency preference, regional store selection, and compared items) across visits, the site saves small text keys in your browser's local storage. This information is stored on your device and is not sent to our servers.
3. Exchange Rates & Store Links
To show prices in your local currency and direct you to regional stores, your browser fetches public European Central Bank rates and estimates regional store links using your browser locale or a country lookup.
4. Cookies & Usage Data
We may use standard cookies or aggregated metrics to understand site performance and navigation. You can manage or block cookies at any time via your browser settings.
Affiliate Links
Some component and equipment links direct to eBay or Amazon. If you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a referral commission at no additional cost to you. Once you navigate to third-party stores, their respective privacy policies apply.
Your Rights
Under applicable data privacy regulations (including UK GDPR), you have the right to request access to or deletion of personal data. For privacy concerns, you can contact us or the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
