How it works

192 pouch cells in 48 modules of four (each 2s2p) make a 96s2p string. The Lithium Battery Controller inside the pack is the BMS and reports SOC, SOH, temperature and power limits.

Notes

Usable 22 kWh and 94% SOC window per batterydesign.net. Cell AESC 32.5 Ah pouch, 290 x 216 x 7.1 mm, 0.787 kg. 48 modules of 4 cells (2s2p), module 303 x 223 x 35 mm, 3.8 kg. ZE0 HV connector and CAN differ from later packs. Greentec bulk figure is 4700 modules, not sealed packs: years 2011-2012, $55,800 (was $76,740), $40/kWh, estimated usable 1395.3 kWh, 2-month warranty, freight extra, not for reinstall in a LEAF. 2016 Nissan guide voltage range for the later 24 kWh case is 240-398.4 V. A sealed-pack used bulk price is not confirmed.

Red flag

Hot-climate capacity loss on 2011-2012 cars; passive cooling; 5-year/60000-mile 9-bar capacity coverage has expired; opening the pack is a later warranty exclusion; no battery-fire recall found for these years.
